Residents escape H.B. home after car catches fire in garage
Three residents escaped injury as they evacuated a Huntington Beach home early Tuesday after a car parked in the garage caught fire, authorities said.
Huntington Beach fire officials responded to 16852 Marina Bay Drive at about 3 a.m. after receiving a report of a residential structure fire.
Heavy smoke was billowing from the garage when fire crews arrived, officials said.
A neighbor alerted the three people inside the home about the fire and they got out safely before firefighters arrived.
Crews contained the blaze to the garage. It wasn’t clear what caused the vehicle to catch fire.
