Officials are investigating a possible arson fire that broke out Friday morning at a Costa Mesa memorial park, according to police.
Costa Mesa fire and police officials were called to Harbor Lawn-Mt. Olive Memorial Park & Mortuary at 1625 Gisler Ave. just before 4 a.m., said police Sgt. Dan Miles.
Miles said employees at a nearby McDonald’s saw smoke coming from the area and called authorities.
When crews arrived, a pile of grass and straw and two vehicles apparently had been set on fire, Miles said.
Fire officials could not immediately be reached for comment.
