UCI police warn of dorm burglaries

UC Irvine police are warning students to lock windows and doors after a string of burglaries in student housing last week.

Burglars stole electronics from three unlocked first-floor apartments in the Vista Del Campo Norte dorms between 5 a.m. Friday and 11:40 a.m. Saturday, police said in a news release.

Campus police ask that anyone with information that could help the investigation call the department at (949) 824-5223

Students should make sure their residences are secure and call 911 immediately if they see anything suspicious, police said.
