Suspicious object closes 405 ramp in Costa Mesa Thursday morning
Costa Mesa police shut down a 405 Freeway offramp at Harbor Boulevard for about an hour and a half Thursday morning because of a suspicious package.
Officers responded around 5:30 a.m. to an object that looked like it was wrapped in tinfoil between the southbound freeway exit and an In-N-Out Burger on Harbor Boulevard, Lt. Bryan Glass said.
A bomb squad from the Orange County Sheriff’s Department investigated and determined the object didn’t pose a threat, according to police.
No further information was available, Glass said.
Police opened the offramp by about 7 a.m.
