Public invited to meeting about general plan

Costa Mesa continues its general-plan update Wednesday with a community session focusing on public safety and noise concerns.

The two-hour meeting will begin at 6 p.m. at the Neighborhood Community Center, 1845 Park Ave.

The first hour will be an open house and the second a facilitated discussion. Refreshments will be served.

Other discussion topics will include community design, growth management and historical resources.

The update of the general plan, a state-mandated document, will serve as a citywide planning blueprint through 2023. For more than a year, Costa Mesa has hosted a variety of general plan meetings in an effort to get community input.
