Police: Man displayed gun, threatened ex-girlfriend
A 20-year-old Santa Ana man was arrested on suspicion of displaying a gun and threatening to kill his ex-girlfriend as she ate lunch in her car in Costa Mesa, police said Tuesday.
Francisco Javier Chavez was arrested at his home after he approached his 21-year-old ex-girlfriend, who was with a 21-year-old male friend, in the 3000 block of Bristol Street, said Costa Mesa police Sgt. Phil Myers.
Chavez was arrested Saturday, but no gun was ever recovered.
