Barrett-Jackson car show Sunday

COSTA MESA — Classic British cars dating to the 1930s, including models from automakers Rolls-Royce, Aston Martin and Bentley, will take over the parking lot Sunday at South Coast Plaza for the Barrett-Jackson British Classic Car Show.

Vintage vehicles belonging to 100 collectors will be displayed from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Costa Mesa shopping center lot.

This is the first year that the event has partnered with the British American Business Council as part of BritWeek, a statewide celebration of “all things British in California,” said BABC Executive Director Valerie Blackholly.

“There will be some beautiful cars there,” Blackholly said. “They are really well-taken care of because they are classics.”

The free event will also feature a British brass band and British foods.
