Mansoor honored at awards event

The Regional Center of Orange County has honored Assemblyman Allan Mansoor (R-Costa Mesa) and Costa Mesa resident Lucien Nardulli.

The Spotlight Award, hosted at Anaheim’s Crowne Plaza Hotel, drew more than 500 guests who came together to recognize those who serve Orange County residents living with developmental disabilities.

Mansoor represents the 74th District, which includes Costa Mesa, Newport Beach, Irvine, Huntington Beach and Laguna Beach. He received the “Elected Official” award for introducing Assembly Bill 2370, which replaced “mentally retarded” with “intellectually disabled” in California’s statutes

Nardulli, a job coach at STEP Institute for Applied Behavior Analysis, earned the “Direct Support Professional” award.
