Students mark 100th day of school

Newport-Mesa’s smallest students had a big day Thursday — it was the 100th day of school.

In Whittier Elementary School teacher Cherie Bellinger’s class, the students celebrated by decorating paper crowns with 100 items.

Over at Newport Heights Elementary School, Kerri Bordelon’s first-grade class celebrated by dressing up like 100-year-olds.
