Meeting to gain input on Complete Streets

The Laguna Beach Planning Commission and the Parking, Traffic and Circulation Committee will host a workshop Jan. 7 to obtain community input on the city’s draft Complete Streets plan, according to a news release.

The draft is the culmination of more than a year of public meetings and surveys focused on meeting the needs of all users of streets, highways, sidewalks and trails, including pedestrians, bicyclists, public transit riders and motorists. This is in keeping with Complete Streets, a nationwide movement that aims to ensure transportation safety.

With input from the upcoming workshop, a revised plan will eventually go before the City Council. The current draft will be available on the city’s website a week before the Jan. 7 meeting.
