City plans workshop for business owners

The city will host its next Open for Business workshop Nov. 13 at the Laguna Beach Community and Susi Q Senior Center according to a news release.

Workshop participants will include Planning Commissioners Anne Johnson and Ken Sadler, representatives from the Laguna Beach Chamber of Commerce and city planner Monica Tuchscher.

The workshops allow business owners to learn about city policies and address concerns.

“Many prospective business people want to discuss their issues before they initiate formal applications with the city,” Johnson, who coordinates the workshops, said in the release.

As a result of the workshop last year, several new businesses came to Laguna Beach and others are planned, the release said.

The workshop will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. The center is at 380 Third. St.
