The Arts Commission is accepting applications from artists who would like to design a bench to be placed near Monument Point in Heisler Park.
Artists may submit images of previous installations and their public art resumes by midnight Oct. 20.
The bench must be built out of durable materials — wood is discouraged — that will be easy to maintain in an ocean climate, and it should accommodate four to six people, according to a project description.
Contest guidelines and an application are available at lagunabeachcity.net.
