Storm drain construction will begin next week in the Temple Hills Drive area of Laguna Beach, according to the city’s website.
Crews will install a new drain along Temple Hills between Palm and Dunning drives and enlarge an existing drain along Dunning between Temple Hills and the outlet to Rim Rock Canyon Road, according to a letter from associate civil engineer Tom Sandefur to nearby residents.
The work, scheduled to take six months, is designed to alleviate flooding that occurs in the area, the letter says.
Vehicular traffic along Temple Hills Drive will be reduced to one lane from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes.
The letter can be viewed on the city’s website, https://www.lagunabeachcity.net.
