Boys & Girls Club earns funds by dunking officers

The Boys & Girls Club of Laguna Beach raised more than $700 during the Laguna Beach Police Employees Assn.’s fourth “Dunk-A-Cop” event Saturday at Main Beach.
Attendees paid $1 for one toss or $3 for five tosses in an attempt to soak several police employees, including detectives Larry Bammer and Darin Germaine, and Councilwoman Toni Iseman.
The money raised will help offset the cost of field trips, food and sunblock for the Boys & Girls Club’s summer programs.
Donations are still being accepted through the Boys & Girls Club website, bgclagunabeach.org, and police association website, lagunabeachpea.com.
