Overnight street closures for Caltrans project planned next week in Laguna Beach

A construction project to replace the box culvert on Coast Highway at Main Beach will bring full overnight street closures to Laguna Beach next week.

Traffic has been reduced to one lane in each direction because of the project, which is expected to be completed in late May.

California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) officials said Wednesday that overnight street closures are anticipated for Tuesday, April 13, Friday, April 16, and Saturday, April 17, with each closure lasting from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m.

The Coast Highway closures will be implemented between Broadway Street and Ocean Avenue. Traffic that approaches those streets will be redirected up to Beach Street, a map of the planned detour provided by Caltrans shows.
