Part of Laguna Beach coastline closed due to 600-gallon sewage spill
The ocean was closed for a one-block stretch in Laguna Beach on Monday due to a 600-gallon raw sewage spill, the Orange County Health Care Agency reported.
The Orange County Health Care Agency’s Environmental Health Division closed the ocean water between Sleepy Hollow Lane and Cleo Street for swimming, surfing and diving.
Ocean water will be closed to water-contact sports until the results of follow-up water-quality monitoring meet acceptable standards, the agency announced.
