Huntington Beach police are seeking witnesses to a collision that killed a 70-year-old woman while she walked across Yorktown Avenue at the intersection of England Street.
Police responded to the accident about 7:20 p.m. Oct. 26 and found that a 1997 blue Toyota sedan had struck the woman, said Lt. Russell Reinhart.
The woman, whose name has not been released pending her full identification and next-of-kin notification, was treated at the scene and then transported to UCI Medical Center in Orange, where she succumbed to her injuries, Reinhart said.
The investigation is ongoing. The driver of the Toyota did not appear to be under the influence of alcohol and has not been arrested or cited at this time, Reinhart said. Police know the identity of the driver but have not released her name.
Police are asking anyone who witnessed the collision and has not been interviewed to call Officer Robert Barr at (714) 536-5666.
