Pet of the Week

Frankie is a handsome 11-month-old American pitbull-terrier mix. With a light brown brindle coat, set off by white paws, he is on the small side for a male of his breed. He came to the shelter in May, as a stray, and still retains a bit of charming puppy exuberance.

A volunteer favorite, he loves to go for walks and play with other dogs. Frankie is smart and lovable and has a good temperament. He would thrive in a home with room for his active personality.

Having spent far too much of his young life in the confines of a shelter, this friendly guy wants to find his place in your heart. He is waiting to lick your hand at the Orange County Humane Society, 21632 Newland St., Huntington Beach.
