Do you want to be in the Pageant of the Masters? Open casting calls are Friday through Sunday
The Pageant of the Masters, Laguna Beach’s annual presentation of “living pictures,” is looking for men, women and children to cast in next summer’s show, called “Under the Sun.”
Prospective volunteers can attend casting calls Friday through Sunday at the pageant’s home, the Irvine Bowl at the Festival of Arts grounds, 650 Laguna Canyon Road.
The pageant is looking for cast members of all sizes and ages to pose in re-creations of famed artworks. Hopefuls will be measured and photographed, meet the pageant staff and be offered light refreshments.
The only requirement is the ability to be still for 90 seconds.
Volunteers also are needed to work in wardrobe and makeup and as cast coordinators and refreshment servers.
Students may earn credit toward community service requirements.
The casting calls will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday.
“Under the Sun” will run at 8:30 p.m. daily from July 7 to Sept. 1. Tickets are $15 to $240.
