‘The Dust’ Fundraiser

Free computer classes will be offered in September at Laguna Beach Library, 363 Glenneyre St. A Basic Computer Skills Class will take place from 8 to 10 a.m. today. The Laguna Beach Community Foundation continues its free eight-week workshop series, “It’s Your Estate” from 1:30 to 3 p.m. in the Community Room at the Laguna Beach Community Center, 380 Third St. Moderated by Peter Kote, the series provides an opportunity to develop more awareness of financial and estate planning, to learn practical suggestions on how to find competent and ethical advisors and encourage tax-wise charitable giving. Martinis For Mammals

Council Candidates Forum

Village Laguna, a nonprofit community organization dedicated to preserving the village atmosphere of Laguna Beach, invites the public to an “Evening with the Candidates” at 7 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 429 Cypress Drive. The candidates for City Council will be present and available to answer questions and concerns regarding issues that influence the quality of life in Laguna Beach, including transportation, future development, and fostering the atmosphere of the downtown business district.
